Mallard Duck

Male adult breeding: (shown below) Dark shiny green head and neck, white thin neck ring, brown chest, grey'ish body, black and white tail feathers. Dark blue to purple under parts of the wing. Yellow bill.

Juvenile: (shown below) Very similar looking to the adult female. Less white on the bottom of the neck. White'ish tail tip, most often you can see the dark blue/purpl'ish colored wings underneath on the sides. Black to Orang'ish bill.

Female: Brown overall. Lighter color on neck and head than body. White patch on bottom front of neck. Orange bill with a dark center. Dark blue to purple under parts of the wing.
