Heermann's Gull

Adult breeding: White head, small black eye, medium length reddish orange bill with a small black tip. Dirty whitish grey neck, chest, belly, and underparts. Dark grey back and feathers with a small amount of white showing. Black tail.

Adult non-breeding: (shown below) Dirty white to brownish head, small black eye, medium length reddish orange bill with a large black tip, white at base of bill. Dirty whitish grey neck, chest, belly, and underparts. Dark grey back and feathers with a small amount of white showing. Black tail with white tip and small discrete lines. Black legs.

Juvenile: (shown below) Brown overall. Darker head than body, pale yellow bill with large black tip. Black tail.
