Eared Grebe

Adult (breeding): Black bill and head with yellow whispy plumes and red eye. Black neck and back. Brown underparts and tail.

Adult (non-breeding):(shown below) Mostly dark head, red eye and yellowish bill. White behind cheek, dark dusky neck and underparts. High rounded dark back.

Juvenile: Dark head, pale orange eye and pale colored bill. Buffy with white cheeks, neck and cehst. Dark back with dusky colored underparts and tail.

Similiar Species: Horned Grebe, Clark's Grebe, & Western Grebe
