Downy Woodpecker

Adult Male: (shown below) Black and white striped head, white belly, Large white patch in the middle of the back, wings and lower back are black with white spots or bars. Mostly black tail with white outer edges that have black bars on them. Red patch on the back of the head. Small bill.

Adult Female: Just as the male but NO RED PATCH on the back of the head.
