Common Adult Breeding Male: (shown below) Slightly smaller than Barrow's. Green irridescent head with a ROUND shaped white cheek patch. Black bill, white neck and belly. Mostly white back and feathers with slight black bars on wing feathers. Black tail end. GOLDEN YELLOW EYES.
Common Adult Breeding Female: (shown below) Pale grey body with white streaking. Brown head with GOLDEN YELLOW EYES. Black bill often with yellow tip.
